Mighty Marathon Man Mark
Dublin-based Sligoman, Mark Scanlon (not the cyclist), is running seven marathons, in seven months, in seven continents in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. He is doing it all in honour of his late Dad.
He has completed seven marathons since July 29th, 2007 including the San Francisco Marathon, the horrendous Ice Marathon in the Antarctic on December 12th, before he moved on to the Mumbai Marathon in India on January 20th 2008.
